India, Feb. 16 -- The final session of the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly will commence on Monday, with Finance Minister Ajanta Neog scheduled to present the Vote on Accounts Budget for 2026-27 in the House on February 17.
With the next Assembly elections due in March-April, the government will not present a full State Budget during this session. Instead, the comprehensive Budget for 2026-27 will be tabled by the new government after it assumes office.
The four-day Budget Session (Vote on Account) 2026 will open with the Governor's Address on Monday, followed by obituary references. Speaker Biswajit Daimary will then announce the report of the Business Advisory Committee outlining the agenda for the session.
