India, Nov. 11 -- The office of the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation (DMC) Mayor, Saikat Patra, in upper Assam was allegedly vandalized by on Monday evening while he was out of station.

DMC Deputy Mayor Ujjal Phukan has been accused of breaking the door lock and the glass tabletop in the Mayor's room.

The incident occurred while Mayor Patra and the DMC Commissioner were in Delhi for the National Urban Conclave on November 8 and 9.

Mayor Saikat Patra confirmed the incident, stating he was in Delhi attending the National Urban Conclave on November 8 and 9 with the DMC Commissioner.
