India, Feb. 13 -- Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on February 13 approved Rs 747.72 crore for 26 road and bridge projects in Assam. The Centre sanctioned the projects under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) and the Setu Bandhan scheme.
Out of the total allocation, authorities approved Rs 677.98 crore for 10 road development projects under the CRIF scheme. In addition, the government sanctioned Rs 129.74 crore for bridge projects under the Setu Bandhan scheme. These investments aim to strengthen road and bridge infrastructure across the state.
