NORTH LAKHIMPUR, March 26 -- Pradan Baruah, the sitting BJP Lok Sabha MP from Lakhimpur, officially filed his nomination for re-election in North Lakhimpur on Tuesday (March 26).

Accompanied by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, along with other ministers, coalition partners, and MLAs, Baruah submitted his nomination papers before the district returning officer, Gayatri Hayelinge, in North Lakhimpur.

Prior to the nomination filing, a public rally was organized by the BJP at Tyagkshetra in North Lakhimpur, where Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the gathering.

CM Sarma urged the electorate to support the incumbent MP for another term in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
