INDIA, Dec. 8 -- Police in Arunachal Pradesh's Itanagar have arrested a man allegedly linked to heroin distribution in the city, marking a significant move in the state's anti-drug efforts.
The 22-year-old suspect, identified as Anitullah, originally from Bihar and residing in Ganga Market, was taken into custody after intelligence pointed to his involvement in supplying narcotics locally.
A joint team from the Itanagar Women Police Station and Capital Police conducted a search at the suspect's residence, recovering 94 vials containing roughly 14 grams of suspected heroin.
Authorities estimated the street value of the seized drugs at around Rs 2.5 lakh.
