India, Jan. 5 -- Ten people were injured when a Bolero pickup they were traveling in overturned at Lumdang in Arunachal Pradesh's East Kameng district on Sunday.
Authorities said the accident was caused by brake failure.
East Kameng SP Kamdam Sikom informed that the vehicle was carrying around 18 passengers at the time.
He said the vehicle was traveling towards Naraba, Lumdang, for a picnic. Around 9:30 am, the vehicle crashed due to brake failure.
When the driver noticed the malfunction, he tried to steer the vehicle towards the roadside hill, but it eventually rolled over, he added.
Three of the injured sustained head injuries and were referred to Tezpur, Assam, for medical treatment.
