India, Feb. 4 -- In a tragic incident, a biker was reportedly attacked by a tiger on Monday night at Mayudia in Arunachal Pradesh's Lower Dibang Valley district.

The incident has created a sensation in the area, as human deaths due to tiger attacks are not common in Arunachal Pradesh.

Confirming the incident, SP Manish Saurya said that police and forest teams were rushed to the spot.

The body of the victim has been recovered and identified as Arunachal Pradesh Police Head Constable Chikseng Manpung, who was posted as a radio operator with Roing Police Station.

He was returning from Anini in Dibang Valley district on his bike after performing his duties during state Chief Minister Pema Khandu's recent visit to Anini.
