India, Jan. 29 -- In a major move to position Anini as a premium and eco-conscious tourist destination, Mopi Mihu, MLA and Advisor to the Minister for Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, unveiled a statue of the endangered Mishmi Takin at the heart of Anini town on Thursday.

Anini, the headquarters of Dibang Valley district, is the natural habitat of the Mishmi Takin. The newly installed statue stands as a symbol of the district's commitment to development that respects and preserves its rich ecology and biodiversity.

The programme also included the plantation of flowers around the Mishmi Takin Point (MTP), enhancing the site's visual appeal while underscoring a message of environmental stewardship.
