India, Dec. 27 -- Following the Arunachal Pradesh government's order for re-verification of land compensation for the Lada-Sarli Frontier Highway (Packages I-V), the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) on Friday called off its planned bandh, which was to be enforced after a 15-day ultimatum.
ANYA president Jamru Ruja, speaking at a press conference at the APC, welcomed the government's decision and stressed that the re-verification process must be completed within a fixed timeframe.
The association reiterated its demands, including the inclusion of one ANYA member in the re-verification committee, punishment for officers and brokers found guilty by the initial fact-finding panel, and recovery of funds collected through fraudulent means....
