SHILLONG, April 26 -- Amidst the relentless heat wave gripping the entire state, the Meghalaya government issued a notification on Friday (April 26), instructing all schools to adhere to strict precautions and guidelines to safeguard the well-being of students and staff.
The directive mandates schools across Meghalaya to refrain from organizing any outdoor activities or sports during the ongoing heat wave.
Furthermore, schools have been instructed to ensure the availability of adequate hydration facilities across their premises, including access to drinking water and shaded areas.
In cases of severe dehydration, immediate transport to the nearest health facility is advised.
