Guwahati, Sept. 2 -- India has delivered 21 tonnes of relief materials to Afghanistan as part of its assistance to earthquake-hit people of that country.

The devastating earthquake in the eastern part of the neighbouring country has killed more than 1,400 people leaving 2,500 injured following a 6.0 magnitude quake hitting the region late Sunday.

To make matters worse, another 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan on Tuesday.
