India, Jan. 29 -- Four teams-South Africa, Zambia, India Team A (Indian Polo Association), and India Team B (Manipur)-are competing in the 7th Manipur Women's International Polo Tournament 2026, which commenced on January 28 at Mapal Kangjeibung, the Imphal Polo Ground.
In the tournament's opening match, India Team B (Manipur) defeated India Team A 11-3. South Africa is set to face Zambia in the second match on Thursday.
Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, graced the opening ceremony, unfurled the flag of the All Manipur Polo Association (AMPA), and formally inaugurated the tournament.
