Chad, Nov. 25 -- In the Darfur region of Sudan, echoes of the past can be heard in the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF). For decades, communities in this region have been fractured by civil wars and ethnic violence, with civilians in the crosshairs.
Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) has been on the ground to witness much of this history and continues to provide urgently needed medical humanitarian aid there.
