Haiti, Feb. 3 -- Yesterday's court ruling blocking the expiration of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian nationals in the US is a welcome reprieve for hundreds of thousands of people at risk of removal to a country in the midst of a complex crisis with escalating humanitarian needs.

Yet the Trump administration has signaled its intention to appeal this ruling, and many Haitian nationals face the possibility that they could soon be removed to an unsafe place.
