RANCHI, Dec. 14 -- In the last phase, elections are going to be held in 16 assembly seats. All seats are Santhal Parganas. After the formation of the BJP government, Raghuvar Das started focusing on Santhal from the very first day. The politics of Santhal and Dumka, the second capital of Jharkhand, is now completely in the hands of the BJP.
BJP has taken this seat from the Soren family of JMM. In 2014, Lewis Marandi of BJP defeated Hemant Soren by nearly five thousand votes and in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Shibu Soren of JMM defeated Sunil Soren of BJP by 47,590 votes.
If in 2014, JMM would not have contested from Dumka and Barhet in two places and they would not have reached the assembly. Apart from Dumka, BJP won two Lok Sabha seats...
