NEW DELHI, Dec. 2 -- Mobile is going to be an additional burden on the consumer's pocket. Vodafone-Idea, Airtel and Jio have made call rates and Internet services expensive.

The two old telecom companies announced on Sunday to increase the rates of prepaid mobile services by 50 percent from December 3, the first increase in nearly four years. At the same time, Reliance Jio has increased the rates by 40 percent from 6 December.
