NEW DELHI, Nov. 20 -- Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank (PMC) account holders caught in the scam protested outside the Reserve Bank of India office here on Wednesday. The protesters were demanding that their hard-earned money deposited in the bank be refunded as soon as possible.

A delegation of depositors met a senior Reserve Bank official. The officer assured him that efforts are being made to solve his problem.

Delhi resident Rajinder Singh said that he has Rs 20 lakh deposited in the bank. He said that the authorities should give a deadline to return the money to the bank deposit account holders.
