PALAMU, Nov. 16 -- A wild elephant again killed a person in the Vishrampur block of Palamu district. In Arapur village, an uncontrolled elephant took Maheshwari Kunwar (70), wife of Maldev Bhuiyan, out of the house and was beaten to death.
This is the second death in an elephant attack within 48 hours. Earlier on 14 November, a wild elephant took the life of a hay shopkeeper Ajay Kumar Mishra in Guri village of Vishrampur.
The uncontrollable elephant reached Arapur village in the night after causing uproar in Guri village of Vishrampur. Maheshwari, who was sleeping in her house here, was thrown out of her house and killed her.
