NEW DELHI, Jan. 28 -- The consolidated net profit of Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), the country's largest car maker, increased 4.13 percent to Rs 1,587.4 crore in the December quarter of FY 2019-20.

In a notification to the stock market, Maruti said that the company had a net profit of Rs 1,524.5 crore in the same quarter of the financial year 2018-19.

The company's revenue grew 5.29 percent to Rs 20,721.8 crore in the October-December quarter of 2019-20, from Rs 19,680.7 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 4,37,361 vehicles in the quarter under review, a 2 percent increase from the same quarter of 2018-19 last year.
