MALDA, Nov. 18 -- On a number platform of Malda Town station, a person suddenly sat on the roof of a train standing at the station. After some time, he was hit by a thousand-volt electric wire passing over the train and due to the current he fell down. For some time, his body started burning in smoke.
After this incident on Sunday evening, there was chaos in the station premises. Later, the railway employees extinguished the fire and brought it down and admitted it to the Malda Medical College and Hospital. After preliminary investigation, the railway management said that the man tried to commit suicide due to his estrangement with his wife.
