NEW DELHI, Dec. 14 -- There has been a spurt in crimes against children in the country. While there were 89,423 incidents of crime against children in 2014, the figure increased to 1,29,000 in 2017 after three years. Supreme Court Judge DY Chandrachud said this at the National Juvenile Justice Consultation Program in Delhi on Saturday,

In this order, Justice DY Chandrachud said that not only the crimes against children have increased, but also the increase in crimes committed by minors. Justice informed that in 2017, the number of crimes committed by Juvenile in the country was 33,000, which was 0.67 percent of the total crimes committed in the country.
