NEW DELHI, Nov. 1 -- Due to festive demand amid sluggishness in the vehicle market, sales of other auto maker companies including Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra and Toyota Kirloskar have shown improvement in October. Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest carmaker, grew by 4.5 percent to 1,44,277 units in the domestic market in October this year. In October 2018, this figure was 1,38,100 vehicles.
For the first time in the last seven months, the company's domestic sales have registered an increase. Despite sales being negative, Mahindra & Mahindra managed to contain the sales decline in October. Its sales in the domestic market fell 11 percent to 49,193 units in October this year.
