INDIA, Oct. 25 -- SoftBank executive Marcelo Claure, WeWork's new Executive Chairman, told the startup's staff that SoftBank has invested $18.5 billion in the platform, a leaked meeting recording revealed. "That's bigger than the GDP of my country (Bolivia)...That's a country where there's 11 million people," he said. Notably, SoftBank recently confirmed it is taking over 80% control of the office space provider.
