India records highest daily spike of 40,425 COVID-19 cases, tally tops 11 lakh
New Delhi, July 19 -- India recorded its highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases with 40,425 infections on July 20, Monday. The union ministry of health and family welfare released the coronavirus data today morning stating that the country has recorded 1,11,8043 cases so far. 618 patients succumbed to the deadly contagious disease in the last 24 hours, taking the fatalities count to 27,497. As of now, active COVID-19 cases stands at 3,90,459 and 7,00,086 patients have been cured/discharged in the country.
