New Delhi, March 7 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) commemorated legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar on the anniversary of his Herculean achievement in Test cricket.Gavaskar became the first-ever batter in the history of the sport to breach the milestone of 10,000 runs in Test cricket on March 7, 1987. He reached the landmark in his 124th Test as he scored 63 runs in the first innings in a Test against Pakistan in Ahmedabad.
