New Delhi, Aug. 22 -- Having crossed danger mark earlier this week, the water level of Yamuna River has receded. With this the National Capital is out of danger for now.

On Tuesday, the water from the river, having crossed the danger mark entered the low-lying areas at Kisan Colony and Yamuna Khadar near Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT), submerging the cremation ground at Nigambodh Ghat.

Begun receding on Wednesday, the water level came down to 206.50 metres. The officials, on Thursday recorded the water level 204.95 metres which is 0.38 metres below the danger level mark of 205.33 metres.
