New Delhi, Jan. 16 -- Japan made Croatia sweat in a Group C encounter of the 2021 World Handball Championship leading for most of the time before Croatia staged a comeback and managed a 29-29 draw after Japan led 14-17 at halftime, in another Group C match, Qatar defeated Angola 30-25 after leading 14-13 at halftime.

In Group D action, defending champion Denmark had an easy 34-20 victory over Bahrain after leading 19-10 at halftime. In another Group D match, Argentina defeated DR Congo 28-22 after trailing 13-14 at halftime.

In Group A, Germany thumped Uruguay 43-14 (HT 16-4) while Hungary defeated Cape Verde 34-27 (HT 19-14).

In Group B, Spain and Brazil played a 29-29 draw, Spain led 16-13 at halftime. Tunisia defeated Poland 30-28 i...
