New Delhi, Nov. 15 -- The U.N.'s top human rights body held a one-day special session Friday to highlight hundreds of killings at a hospital in Sudan's Darfur region and other atrocities blamed on paramilitary forces fighting the army in the northeast African country.
Also Friday, Sudan's military leader said his side wouldn't negotiate a truce with the paramilitary group, known as Rapid Support Forces, and that fighting would continue until the group is eradicated, indicating little likelihood for an early end to the conflict.
