New Delhi, Feb. 27 -- Delhi Airport Operator DIAL said Terminal 2 (T2) of the Delhi Airport will be temporarily shut down from April for a duration of four to five months. DIAL said that one of the runways of T2 will also be upgraded.

DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar said, adding that the capacity of around 15 million at T2 will be moved to T1. He also said that the works at T1 are expected to be completed by March 15 and will be open for flights after getting requisite approvals.

With increasing traffic, the airport operator will also be converting a T3 section for international flights. Currently, this section is used for domestic operations.
