New Delhi, Oct. 24 -- The INDIA bloc has announced that Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial candidate of the INDIA bloc for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Making the announcement at a joint press conference attended by all alliance partners, senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot confirmed that the decision to project Tejashwi Yadav as the Chief Ministerial candidate had the full backing of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
Gehlot further revealed that, under the proposed power-sharing arrangement, Vikassheel Insan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni, along with representatives from other social groups, would be appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers if the INDIA bloc forms the government in Bihar.
