New Delhi, April 11 -- Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Pakistani-Canadian terrorist, businessman and former military doctor, who is known for his involvement in terrorism-related activities, has been sent to custody for 18 days after being extradited from US.
On 8 April 2025, after Rana's last plea to stop his extradition was rejected by the Supreme Court of the United States, a team of National Investigation Agency officers arrived in the United States to take Rana into custody. He arrived in Delhi on 10 April 2025.
Delhi's Patiala House Court sent 26/11 accused Tahawwur Hussain Rana to 18 days NIA custody.
Special NIA judge Chander Jit Singh passed the order past midnight after NIA demanded 20 days of custody.
