New Delhi, Nov. 4 -- In association with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) on Monday initiated an awareness campaign to generate awareness on stubble burning that also includes street plays.

"Today, through street play and videos, we will aware farmers and we hope that people will stop stubble burning," said Prashant K Banerjee, Executive Director of SIAM.

"Punjab government is running several campaigns to aware farmers to not burn stubbles. We are organising to aware the farmers that they did not set stubbles on fire. Because of these campaigns, millions have stopped burning stubbles," said K. S. Pannu, Secretary of Department of Agriculture, Punjab.
