New Delhi, March 12 -- The Supreme Court prolonged the injunction on criminal defamation proceedings against Delhi's chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, for an additional two months. This extension came after the plaintiff informed the court of being willing to contemplate a public apology from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader. The objection arose from a retweet by Kejriwal in 2018 of an offensive video targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on X

On February 26, Kejriwal told the apex court that he made a mistake by retweeting an allegedly defamatory video circulated by YouTuber Dhruv Rathee related to the BJP IT Cell.
