New Delhi, Sept. 4 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held a late-night phone discussion with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini regarding the emergency caused by heavy rainfall and overflow along the Mungeshpur drain. The breach occurred about one kilometre inside Haryana, near the Delhi border in Jhajjar district.
Officials from both Delhi and Haryana have been working in close coordination to evacuate residents from the affected areas to safer locations. So far, more than 2,000 people have been relocated. Police, district administration teams, DTC buses, NDRF personnel, ambulances, and rescue workers have been deployed on the ground.
