New Delhi, June 7 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Bamboo Plantation campaign at Maa Anandmayee Marg, Okhla, in the esteemed presence of Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena.
The initiative marks the transformation of a large section of the Okhla landfill site-once a mountain of waste-into a green zone, with 8,000 bamboo trees already planted.
Reaffirming her administration's commitment to making Delhi clean, green, and prosperous, CM Gupta emphasized the importance of ecological restoration of urban spaces.
Prominent dignitaries including Delhi MP Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Cabinet Minister Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and Mayor of Delhi Shri Raja Iqbal Singh also attended the event.
