New Delhi, May 25 -- Sources have revealed that Rajya Sabha Chairman Mr. M. Venkaiah Naidu took stock of the preparedness of the secretariats of both Houses of Parliament to hold regular meetings of department-related parliamentary standing committees.

After holding detailed discussions with Lok Sabha Speaker Mr. Om Birla, secretary generals of Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha and other senior officials on Saturday, May 23, over the availability of rooms, it has been decided that officers of both the houses and those of ministries appearing before such committees would be kept bare minimum.
