New Delhi, April 12 -- The Delhi government has approved the construction of a six-lane flyover stretching from Majnu ka Tila to the Chandgi Ram Akhara T-point-also known as the Metcalf House Crossing on Outer Ring Road-in a bid to ease traffic congestion between Civil Lines and Signature Bridge.

As per the proposal, the Public Works Department (PWD) will build a 680-metre-long six-lane flyover, beginning near the Civil Lines Trauma Centre and the DRDO office.

This infrastructure upgrade is specifically planned for the Metcalf House T-junction, where the Outer Ring Road intersects with Hegdewar Road. The PWD has been allocated Rs.183 crore for the execution of the project.

The estimated cost of the construction is Rs 183 crore.
