New Delhi, Nov. 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that he will be visiting the Republic of South Africa from 21-23 November 2025 at the invitation of President Cyril Ramaphosa to attend the 20th G20 Leaders' Summit in Johannesburg, being held under South Africa's Presidency.
In his statement, the Prime Minister noted that this year's Summit holds historic significance, as it will be the first-ever G20 Summit hosted in Africa. He recalled that during India's G20 Presidency in 2023, the African Union was formally inducted as a permanent member of the group, marking a major milestone in global governance reforms.
