New Delhi, May 22 -- A meeting of the General-Purpose Committee of the Delhi Legislative Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Vijender Gupta.

In a significant and unanimous decision, the committee passed a historic resolution to install portraits ofVeer Savarkar, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, andPt. Madan Mohan Malviyawithin the assembly premises. This move aims to honour the legacy of these eminent national figures and inspire future generations through their contributions to India's cultural, social, and freedom movements.'

Deputy Speaker Bishan Singh, along with committee members Abhay Verma, Zubair Chaudhry, Manoj Shokeen, Raj Bhatia, Tilak Ram Gupta, and Dinesh Dhingan were also present during the meeting.
