New Delhi, Aug. 16 -- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held discussions with Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah regarding the situation arising from the cloudburst and subsequent flooding in Kishtwar.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister said:
"Spoke to Jammu and Kashmir LG, Shri Manoj Sinha Ji and CM Shri Omar Abdullah Ji regarding the situation in the wake of the cloudburst and flooding in Kishtwar. Authorities are working on the ground to assist those affected."
A massive flash flood triggered by a cloudburst struck the remote mountain village in Kishtwar on August 14, killing at least 46 people, including two CISF personnel.
