New Delhi, Jan. 3 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a congratulatory letter to V.V. Rajesh, the newly elected Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram and BJP candidate, calling his election a historic moment and an expression of public trust and affection.

In his letter, the Prime Minister said that the assumption of office by Rajesh as Mayor, along with G.S.
