New Delhi, July 3 -- Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi along with Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat on Friday, July 3, visited Leh, the capital of Ladakh amid rising tensions with China along Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Having reached there at 8:15 am on Friday morning, July 3, PM Mr. Modi met Army officers at Nimo, where he interacted with the soldiers of the Army, Air Force and ITBP.

14 Corps Commander Lieutenant General Harinder Singh briefed PM M. Modi, CDS Rawat and Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane on the ongoing situation at the LAC at Nimo, almost 35 kilometres from Leh.
