New Delhi, May 16 -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting at his residence on Lok Kalyan Marg to review the progress of India's fisheries sector, with a particular focus on fishing in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and High Seas.

The Prime Minister emphasized the use of satellite technology to enhance resource utilization and ensure the safety of fishermen. He called for modernization through smart harbours and markets, integration of drones for transport and marketing of catch, and improvements in supply chain efficiency.
