New Delhi, June 26 -- While speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on Wednesday hit out at the grand old party saying the Congress never looked beyond the Nehru-Gandhi family and never took notice of great leaders like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and BR Ambedkar.

Taking a reference to the country's first Home Minister - Sardar Patel, PM said that "it is our thinking that if he (Sardar Patel) was the first PM of the country, there won't have been the issue of J&K won't have existed." He further said it is Sardar Patel who, as Home Minister ensured integration of princely states with India.
