New Delhi, Nov. 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on y left for a two-day visit to the Kingdom of Bhutan, where he will join the people of Bhutan in celebrating the 70th birth anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth King.

In his departure statement, the Prime Minister said it would be his honour to participate in the celebrations and to reaffirm the time-tested friendship between India and Bhutan.

Highlighting the cultural and spiritual ties between the two nations, PM Modi said that the exposition of the Sacred Piprahwa Relics of Lord Buddha from India during the Global Peace Prayer Festival in Bhutan reflects the deep civilisational and spiritual connections shared by both countries.
