New Delhi, Nov. 24 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi held several high-level bilateral engagements on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, strengthening India's strategic partnerships across key sectors including trade, technology, defence and innovation.

During his meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, both leaders reviewed progress on the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-29. They discussed deeper cooperation in trade, defence, artificial intelligence, space and culture. India and Italy also adopted a Joint Initiative to Counter Terror Financing, reaffirming a united stance against global terrorism. Prime Minister Meloni extended strong support for India's proposed AI Summit in 2026.
