New Delhi, Jan. 11 -- The Prime Minister's Office on Friday, January 10, said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi conveyed New Year greetings to French President Emmanuel Macron over telephone and discussed a range of issues of mutual interests. The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global situation.

The two sides agreed to further enhance all-round strategic cooperation between the two nations, in the field of defence, civil nuclear energy and maritime security.

Expressing his satisfaction at the steady progress in the multi-faceted relationship between India and France, Prime Minister Mr. Modi reiterated his commitment to further foster the Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
