New Delhi, Nov. 24 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the IBSA Leaders' Meeting in Johannesburg, held on the sidelines of the G20 Summit. He thanked Brazilian President Lula da Silva, who is chairing IBSA, and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa for hosting the discussions.

Modi said IBSA - linking India, Brazil and South Africa - represents three vibrant democracies and major economies spanning three continents, united by shared values and development aspirations. He described the meeting as historic and timely, coinciding with the first G20 Summit hosted in Africa and following four successive G20 presidencies led by nations of the Global South.
