New Delhi, Jan. 21 -- Built with Indian assistance in order to ease trade and people's movement between the two nations, the second Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Jogbani-Biratnagar has been jointly inaugurated by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. K. P. Oli on Tuesday, January 21.

The first being at the Raxaul-Birgunj border built in 2018, this comes as the second ICP along the Nepal border.

The two leaders also reviewed the progress of Indian government-assisted post-earthquake housing reconstruction projects in Nepal. The project comes under India's commitment to construct as many as 50,000 houses in Gorkha and Nuwakot districts, of which the target of building 45,000 has already been achieved.
