In a message on X, PM Modi said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured and assured that India stands ready to provide all possible humanitarian aid and relief to those affected.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar also conveyed solidarity with the Afghan people following the devastating earthquake in Kunar Province. He extended condolences to the families of the victims, wished for the early recovery of the injured, and confirmed that India will extend assistance in this hour of need.
